FASHION ADS & MISCELLANY FINE ART PORTRAITS T-SHIRTS
Professional artist and illustrator Rosemary Burke has been actively working in her chosen field for over 40 years. In 1967, she began her career as a Staff Artist at John A. Brown Company, at that time, the largest locally owned department store in Oklahoma, eventually acquired by Dillard's.

Two years later, she embarked on a new phase in her profession at Al Rosenthal's, an upscale ladies specialty store, as their Artist and Advertising Manager. She then moved on to freelance Fashion ads for Ruth Meyers, Inc., an exclusive ladies shop.

In 1982-85 she served as Regional Director and Ex-Officio of The Fashion Group International, a worldwide affiliation of executives in the applied arts of the fashion fields.

In 1985 Rosemary became the Fashion Illustrator and Director of Advertising for Balliet's, the premiere ladies luxury store in Oklahoma. While there, she handled a turnkey operation of layout, artwork, copy-writing and marketing.

During her ten years with Balliet's, her illustrations were a major influence and presence in print media fashion, published weekly in The Daily Oklahoman, the state's largest newspaper. Some of her most celebrated works include a collection of renderings that remain, even today, throughout the store,as examples of timeless quality fashion.

Professionally, she has been a guest lecturer at Oklahoma State University School of Design. In addition, she was a Career Day Speaker and has served as a judge for The University of Oklahoma School of Arts Design Competition.

Since 1995, Rosemary has been freelancing in a variety of artistic endeavors through her own business. Currently she specializes in illustrations, prints, portraits, logo design, custom commissioned fine art, interior
decorating and consulting.

A recent venture has been designing and marketing an exclusive signature T-shirt for long-time client Nonna's Ristoranté / Painted Door in Oklahoma City's Historic Bricktown and Gaillardia Country Club.

As a great fan of all things Oklahoma, her Commemorative Retro Cowgirl T-shirt celebrating the State's Centennial Anniversary, was chosen to be featured at Walt Disney World Epcot Center~"The Oklahoma Experience" exhibit in 2007.

Her keen observation of design, detail and attitude give her illustrations a truly timeless, classic appeal.
